As a bilingual school, both the German and English languages are of equal importance in the curriculum and school culture.

Beginning in Entrance class, all learning partners learn to read and write in both German and English. Children become competent speakers, readers and writers in German and English in two ways; through authentic immersive language experiences in combination with a systematic approach to teaching both languages.

The organization of lessons by language changes as the learning partners progress through the years. The core subjects of mathematics, science and social studies are taught in both languages to ensure the academic vocabulary of the subjects is learned.

Our learning community is international, with many languages and diverse cultures represented. The presence of this diversity gives learners the opportunity to explore how languages and cultures are similar or different to each other, thereby helping learners develop a global perspective.
