Learning house

At our school, a learning house is primarily an organisational unit that is situated within a building complex. Each school stage - primary school, secondary school I and secondary school II – has several learning houses. From an educational point of view, a learning house is the place where learning partners and learning coaches live and work together. Each learning house has work stations, rooms and facilities specifically designed for this purpose. Each learning house consists of several learning families.
The learning families in each learning house consist of one learning coach and around 14 learning partners of mixed age groups. Each learning partner has their own personal coach to support them in all life- and learning-related issues. Within the learning teams, teaching, learning and development are a mutually collaborative process. This includes, for example, social learning and communal lunch, which are fixed elements of the school week.
